My journey as an indie author has gone much further than just publishing books and doing signing events! In 2020, I ventured outside of the book sphere for the first time when I collaborated with Old Soul Artisan to create a candle inspired by my Chronicles of Avilésor: War of the Realms series. The Avilésor candle is now part of Old Soul Artisan’s Dark Lit Collection.
Later that year, I created my first Teespring store and launched the Project Alpha Collection and the Kit Collection. This was my first time venturing into any kind of clothing design, and I enjoyed bringing the novels to life in a new way.
Now, I’m thrilled to unveil the next two designs in the collection! The Alpha deluxe hoodie was an experiment with adding a sleeve design, and I love the final look! While the clean-cut Alpha symbol in the original Project Alpha Collection is what would have been on the fugitives’ uniforms in the books, this updated deluxe version is splattered to imitate the look of the font used on the covers. The sleeves read: PROJECT ALPHA.
Axel is one of my favorite characters, and so I couldn’t resist bringing out his dark side! Red eyes and a wide smile with eight sharp fangs peer through a bloody handprint for a creepy vibe that’s very different from anything else in my apparel designs.
Art is just as big a part of my life as writing, and I’ve had so much fun designing my own apparel, graphics, and book covers. More ideas are forming in the back of my mind… so stay tuned for a possible Phase 3 later this year!

I'm an award-winning fantasy author, artist, and photographer from La Porte, Indiana. My poetry, short fiction, and memoir works have been featured in various anthologies and journals since 2005, and several of my poems are available in the Indiana Poetry Archives. The first two novels in my Chronicles of Avilésor: War of the Realms series both received the Literary Titan Gold Book Award in 2020.
After working as a freelance writer for a time, I was shocked by how many website articles are actually written by paid "ghost writers" but credited to a different author. It was a jolt seeing my articles presented under the name of a high-profile CEO or an industry expert with decades of experience when in reality, I had none of those credentials. Just a talent for writing and the time to research topics. Ghost writing is perfectly legal and a VERY common practice.
You won't find that here on my website. I do not and never will pay a ghost writer, then slap my name on their work as if I'd written it. This website is 100% authentic. No outsourcing. No ghost writing. No AI-generated content. It's just me... as it should be.
